Extension 1311

Robert Lubin was born on February 14, 1957 in Montreal, Canada. He grew up in Montreal, speaking English and French, and earned his Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Finance) with Distinction at McGill University in 1979. He attended law school as an F-1 Visa student at the University of Miami in Florida, where he earned his J.D. (1982) and LL.M., Masters of Law in Taxation (1983). His primary practice areas include professional and business immigration. He has also worked professionally as an associate attorney on tax, estate, business, international and immigration issues in Phoenix, Arizona from 1983 to 1987.

After law school, Robert Lubin worked for three years on an H-1B Visa and received his "green card" in 1986. He became a U.S. citizen in 1994.

Robert Lubin & Associates, P.C. (formerly known as The Law Offices of Robert Lubin, P.C.) was founded in 1988 and the firm focuses exclusively on immigration issues (with some business law services provided to immigration clients only). He was among the first attorneys to apply (and receive approvals) in the self-petition EB-1/Extraordinary Ability and EB-2/National Interest Waiver categories, with approvals as early as January 1992. He also led the way to simplified and fair billing structures, with fixed fees based on successful outcomes, rather than hours worked.

Robert Lubin is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), has served on the liaison committee of the Physician Immigration Task Force, and is admitted to practice law in Arizona (1983), the District of Columbia (1988), and Virginia (1994). He has appeared as a guest speaker at law seminars in the United States and throughout the world, including Canada, China, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, India, the Philippines and Russia.
